Outside

I LOVE that the weather is changing! It's finally getting warmer outside and has been sunny (with the exception of today, of course). Carson loves to be outside and I swear it makes him sleep better. At day care they get a lot of outside time so I try to keep him busy on the days we're home together.
Last Thursday we hung out with our friends Courtney and her son Cameron (Carson's BFF) and went to Prescott Park in Portsmouth but of course I forgot my camera! On Friday we sat outside and he cruised around the driveway in his little car, we also had snacks outside.

We had the best weather on Saturday so we took a drive to Rye, NH and went to Odiorne Point and walked the beach. It was still cool right next to the water but it's much much better than snow or rain. I can't wait for summer to come so we can sit on the beach and Carson can play in the sand. Only a few more months until our family vacation to the beach house in July, woohoo!
Everything else is going great! Carson is constantly exploring the house, getting into everything! His new favorites are toilet paper (which he likes to eat) and the computer mouse. He banged our mouse around so many times we had to replace it. Now the old mouse is his favorite toy, he drags it around the living room. Babies sure are busy!

Teeth!

How could I forget teeth!? Carson got his bottom front two teeth about two months ago. He's currently getting his top front four! Three of them have broken through the gums and the other is so close! I think he tolerates the teething process pretty well, with the exception of a few bad cranky days. I can't wait to see his toothy grin!

Side note: I don't see a way for me to send update emails like I could on babysites.com. If you want to receive an email saying I've made a new post you'll have to click on the link following "Subscribe To:" at the bottom of the page, right above the link to his old website :)

Crawling baby!

Welcome to Carson's new website!

Carson is the most amazing baby, not to mention he is simply the cutest thing I have ever seen! He is changing so quickly and I am sad to think about him turning 1 year old in 3 months.

He is now officially crawling and is all over the house, there is no stopping him. He can also pull himself up to stand. He received a music table as a gift and loves to stand next to it pushing the buttons. He also loves to push the buttons on our entertainment center electronics. I think he's going to be walking soon, he has such strength. He still needs better coordination before he can take a step on his own. If he's standing next to the couch he can reach out and take a step to the ottoman but he has to have something to immediately grab on to.

Carson is also a great eater. He loves to feed himself so we have been giving him cheerios, Gerber puffs and little pieces of what we're eating. He's now up to 3 jars of baby food and down to 3 bottles a day. I think he's a lot more interested in real food than bottles. I can't wait until we're done with formula.
He's still doing excellent at daycare. He has two meals a day there and gets to try lots of new healthy snacks like fruit. I'm totally open to him eating whatever (except nuts, we haven't tried peanut butter yet) and I hope that he's not a picky eater as he gets older.
I'm excited to plan Carson's first birthday party. I'm hoping for beautiful weather in June so we can do something outside. I'm looking forward to having all his little friends over to play. I love that he is more interactive. We try to get together with my friend Courtney and her son Cameron once a week so the boys can play. Cameron is 14 months but once Carson is walking there won't be a difference between them, especially in size! Cameron is a little on the small side and Carson is definitely on the bigger side so they're already the same height! Our friends Jay and Yvonne (who live right down the road) are expecting their first baby in June, a few days after Carson's birthday. It will be great to have another family to get together with, especially since they live so close.
I'm still new to this website and I'm trying to figure out everything it can do. I haven't seen an option to send out an email when a new post has been added so please check back for updates!
